As of right now there are no plans to take cats because none are ready.

I am willing to work with new volunteers to learn procedures and I’m hoping some of the other “seasoned “ volunteers will be willing to mentor someone who wants to learn.

For years we relied on these events to save lives. There were no rescue transports for older dogs and the adoptathon was our only outlet of hope. We have sat back and enjoyed several transports emptying the shelter for us for a few years as we “rested” now transports are few again and we must get up and start to work to help relieve the congestion at the shelter.

We will need people to bathe/brush dogs, help set up and load, drive, unload and setup at the Turkey Creek Petsmart, help perspective adopters, walk dogs, process adoptions, and return for cleanup after the event.
